Behind the Lens: Branding Session for Magnolia Wax & Sugaring Studio

There’s something special about being there at the beginning of someone’s dream — and even more so when you get to help bring it to life, both visually and digitally.



Recently, I had the absolute pleasure of working with Jenny, the founder of Magnolia Wax & Sugaring Studio, a new beauty studio in the heart of Midtown Memphis. From our first conversation, it was clear that Jenny’s vision for her business was grounded in care, comfort, and confidence, creating a space where clients feel pampered and beautiful in their skin. Our branding session was all about capturing that essence.


Setting the Scene: Midtown Murals and the Studio

We started the branding session by stepping outside and embracing Midtown’s mural-lined streets off Broad Avenue. With pops of color against textured brick and vibrant walls, we created a look that felt bold, approachable, and fun!

After some fab photos off Broad Ave, we then made our way to Work and Play Studio near Central and East Parkway. It is home to other Memphis businesses like Salon Baloo and Art By Lecco Gallery.

Inside the studio, we highlighted the clean, calming aesthetic that makes the space feel instantly welcoming. These interior images will live on her website and Google Business page, giving future clients a first look at the experience waiting for them.





More Than Just Photos: A Cohesive Brand

In addition to the photography, we also had the opportunity to design the Magnolia Wax website (www.magnoliawax.com), and created a brand presence that feels as elevated and genuine as Jenny herself.

The goal? Create a clean and easy-to-navigate online home that matches the studio’s in-person vibe. The final site highlights her services in waxing, sugaring, and spray tanning, while keeping the overall look minimal and elevated. This website is more than a booking tool, it’s an invitation. It tells the story of the brand before a client ever steps foot in the studio.



This shoot and site build was about giving Magnolia Wax & Sugaring Studio the visual & SEO (search engine optimization) foundation it needs to grow. We’re so excited to see how this beautiful brand continues to bloom in Midtown. Stay tuned - Sprinkle Creative is also working on her logo and branding suite next!
